Thanks to a collaboration with the Workforce Development Institute, members of Local 3 IBEW are training at New York State's inaugural GWO-certified facility, TMI Waterfront Services on Staten Island, specialized for the offshore wind sector.

This facility provides a comprehensive week-long Basic Safety Training - Offshore, which includes five critical modules necessary for working on offshore wind turbines: first aid, manual handling, fire awareness, working at heights, and sea survival courses.
